The 6 days educational and adventure experience in Uganda starts with having a relaxing evening in your hotel while memorizing the previous travels and the beauty of Uganda.
Welcome to the amazing country rich in culture, wildlife and full of hospitable people. During the 6 days educational and adventure experience in Uganda, you will be able to visit Makerere University, craft shops in the country, Bahai temple and Independence monument.
The next day will be a drive to the southwestern part of the country for the gorilla tracking experience in Buhoma sector Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park holds 50% of the World’s mountain gorilla. The park was gazetted in 1991 and described as a UNESCO heritage site in 1994.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: City tour
On arrival in Kampala, you will be dropped in your hotel for a relaxing evening. Enjoy an evening drive to experience the different cultures in Uganda. It is also an amazing moment to taste the local foods in the country, go with a very good appetite. After the experience, a drive back to the hotel for an overnight.

Day 2: City tour
The next morning, have your breakfast. Our experienced driver guide will drive you around Kampala for a city tour. Visit places like Bahai temple being the only temple in Africa, independence monument, Nakasero Market and craft shop among other interesting places in the city. Carry some money in order to get a very good souvenir for yourself.
After lunch break, drive to Makerere University. Makerere University stands as Uganda’s oldest and largest institution of higher learning, shaping East Africa’s academic and socio-economic landscape since 1922.
Makerere University began in 1922 as a small technical school with only 14 students studying carpentry, building, and mechanics.
Over time, the institution expanded its programs to include medicine, agriculture, veterinary sciences, and teacher training, quickly becoming a hub for higher education in East Africa.
In 1970, Makerere transformed into an independent national university, cementing its role as Uganda’s premier center for academic excellence.
Makerere offers diverse programs across humanities, sciences, engineering, business, and health disciplines. The university hosts more than 35,000 students and employs thousands of academic and administrative staff, making it one of Africa’s most vibrant intellectual communities.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On your way to explore the Switzerland of Africa, have a stopover in Kampala- Masaka highway for an equator experience, take enough photos and get the chance of buying souvenirs as well. Drive to Mbarara city for lunch. Drive straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check into your hotel. Have dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking
The fourth day of the 6-days tour starts with waking up very early in the morning. Drive to the information offices to be briefed about the trekking experience on how to behave in the presence of mountain gorillas and the expectations.

Do not forget to carry a packed lunch from your lodge, ware long sleeved to avoid stinging needles, hand cloves, carry rain jacket, good hiking shoes and enough drinking water.
If possible, hire a porter to carry items you will need during the trek. Start with a forest walk in search for endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats.
Once you encounter the mountain gorilla, the beauty these majestic creatures entail will outweigh all the hardship endured to find them.
Spend an hour with them and capture the unforgettable moments. After the experience, receive a mountain gorilla trekking certificate in appreciation for your contribution towards the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda.
Drive to the lake Bunyonyi for boat cruise experience in the lake. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda and it entails many stories. The lake has 29 beautiful island that you will be able to view some during the boat ride. After the experience, drive back to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala
Have morning breakfast and set off for a journey back to Kampala. Have lunch in Mbarara. Drive to Entebbe for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Wildlife view and transfer to the airport
With our energy restored, we’ll then visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) in Entebbe. Here, you will meet rescued animals and learn about the efforts to protect Uganda’s unique wildlife.
View animals like rhinos, lions, tiger, leopard, giraffe, chimpanzees, among different bird species and plants. Drive to the airport.
